Ambassador Vu Quang Minh highly appreciated the initiative of the founding members in establishing the association and their efforts in a short period to organize the first General Assembly. He expressed his hope that the members of the association would work together wholeheartedly to achieve the goals outlined in the association’s charter and continue to contribute even more to the development of both their second homeland and their first homeland – Vietnam.
The Ambassador emphasized that this is a crucial and favorable time for Vietnamese Young Business Entrepreneurs in Europe to strengthen connections and further contribute its youthful energy to the country’s development. He highlighted the association’s role as a bridge between Vietnam and European nations, especially as Vietnam and the European Union (EU) celebrate 35 years of diplomatic relations and move towards upgrading their ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The Vietnamese Young Business Entrepreneurs in Europe aims not only to connect Vietnamese-owned businesses operating in Europe but also to foster ties with Vietnamese enterprises investing in the continent.
The association’s organizational structure includes an Advisory Board comprising experts from various fields. It also features multiple specialized committees, such as Business & Investment, Legal & Tax, Technology & Digital Transformation, Startup Support, External Relations & International Cooperation, and Media & Events.
Speaking at the virtual launch event from Vietnam, Mr. Đỗ Tiến Thịnh, Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC), emphasized that the establishment of the association aligns with the beginning of a new era of Vietnam’s development – one driven by aspirations for breakthrough growth, administrative reforms, government restructuring, and the simplification of the business and investment environment.

Mr. Thinh expressed his hope that the Association would collaborate with NIC to tackle common challenges in innovation, both as businesses and as members of a broader network, contributing knowledge and expertise to support one another and Vietnam. NIC highly anticipates that the Association will generate tangible value for its members, helping them not only grow their businesses in Europe but also expand globally and reinvest in Vietnam.
Ms. Trần Hà My, EU Representative of Sovico Group and newly elected President of the Vietnamese Young Business Entrepreneurs in Europe, shared the vision and aspirations of the organization. She emphasized its mission to establish a solid bridge and a dynamic platform for all young businesses of Vietnamese origin in Europe. The Association aims to contribute to technology transfer, attract FDI to Vietnam, and play an active role in policy advocacy between Europe and Vietnam.
Ms. My emphasized that the rapid changes occurring in Vietnam present an opportunity for young Vietnamese entrepreneurs in Europe to keep pace and contribute. She affirmed that the Association aims to establish itself as a significant entity – not only within the business community but also in the European political landscape, “built the foundation for a future where Vietnamese people stand on par with developed nations, in order to take pride in showcasing to the world that Vietnam possesses intelligence, technology, and innovation,” she stated.
The founding members of the Vietnamese Young Business Entrepreneurs in Europe share a common view that young Vietnamese resources in Europe are significantly lacking in connectivity. In particular, the F2 and F3 generations have almost no ties to Vietnam, especially in business. Recognizing this gap, the Vietnamese Young Business Entrepreneurs in Europe was established to strengthen connections both within Europe and with Vietnam. Its mission is to supplement each other’s resources, overcome cultural barriers in integration, and build a dynamic, passionate, and ambitious young community. This collective effort aims to contribute to Vietnam’s era of global expansion and shape a new future for the next generations.
The VYBE has set short-term goals, including organizing a major annual event in collaboration with other associations or agencies. Additionally, it aims to establish a branded series of monthly activities, such as “networking breakfasts” that connect Vietnamese businesses with European partners. In these events, embassies will play a mediating role and co-organize, fostering stronger business ties between Vietnam and Europe.
