With the aim of connecting young businesses within the Vietnamese community in Europe and creating a platform for sharing experiences, knowledge, and resources among enterprises, the Vietnamese Young Business Entrepreneurs in Europe was officially established in Berlin on February 28. On the same day, the association held its inaugural congress to elect its executive board.

According to a TTXVN correspondent in Berlin, on the same day, the Executive Board of the Vietnamese Young Business Entrepreneurs in Europe also held its inauguration ceremony at the Vietnamese Embassy in Berlin. The event, which was connected online to multiple locations across Europe, was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany Vu Quang Minh, as well as Political-Economic, Trade, Science-Technology, and Investment Counselors, along with several embassy officials.
Ambassador Vu Quang Minh highly appreciated the initiative of the founding members in establishing the association and their efforts in a short period to organize the first General Assembly.
The Ambassador expressed his hope that the association’s members would work together to achieve the objectives set out in its charter and continue to contribute even more to the development of both their second homeland and their first homeland—Vietnam.
The Ambassador emphasized that this is a crucial and favorable time for the Vietnamese Young Business Entrepreneurs in Europe to strengthen its connections and further contribute its youthful energy to the country’s development. He highlighted the association’s potential to serve as a bridge between Vietnam and European countries, especially as Vietnam and the European Union (EU) celebrate 35 years of diplomatic relations and are progressing toward upgrading their ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The Vietnamese Young Business Entrepreneurs in Europe aims not only to connect Vietnamese-owned businesses operating in Europe but also to foster links with Vietnamese enterprises investing in the region.
The organizational structure of the Vietnamese Young Business Entrepreneurs in Europe includes an Advisory Board comprising experts from various fields. The association also features multiple specialized committees, such as Business & Investment, Legal & Tax, Technology & Digital Transformation, Startup Support, External Relations & International Cooperation, and Media & Events.
Attending the launch ceremony online from Vietnam, Mr. Do Tien Thinh, Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC), affirmed that the establishment of the VYBE aligns with the beginning of a new era of development in Vietnam – one marked by aspirations for breakthrough growth, administrative reforms, government restructuring, and the simplification of the investment and business environment.
He expressed his hope that the VYBE would collaborate with NIC in addressing common challenges in innovation, both as businesses and as members of the network, contributing knowledge and expertise to support one another and Vietnam.
NIC hopes that the Vietnamese Young Business Entrepreneurs in Europe will bring substantial value to its members, not only helping them grow their businesses in Europe but also expanding globally from Europe and reinvesting in Vietnam.
Ms. Trần Hà My, EU Representative of Sovico Group and newly elected President of the Vietnamese Young Business Entrepreneurs in Europe, shared the VYBE’s vision and mission. She emphasized its goal of becoming a strong bridge and a dynamic platform for all young entrepreneurs of Vietnamese origin in Europe, contributing to technology transfer and FDI inflows to Vietnam, as well as engaging in policy advocacy between Europe and Vietnam.
Ms. My claimed that the rapid transformation in Vietnam is unfolding at an impressive pace, and with their youthful energy, young Vietnamese entrepreneurs in Europe are eager to keep up with this momentum.
She also affirmed that the VYBE aims to establish itself as a significant organization, not only in the business community but also in the European political landscape. “We are laying the foundation for a future where Vietnamese people stand on par with developed nations, so that we can truly take pride on the global stage in our intelligence and technological capabilities,” she said.
The founding members of the Vietnamese Young Business Entrepreneurs in Europe share the view that young Vietnamese resources in Europe are highly disconnected, particularly the F2 and F3 generations, who have minimal ties to Vietnam, especially in business.
This reality led to the establishment of the VYBE with the aim of strengthening connections both within Europe and with Vietnam, complementing each other’s resources, and overcoming cultural barriers in the integration process. It aspires to build a dynamic and passionate young community, driven by the ambition to propel the nation forward and to collaboratively shape a new future for the next generation.
The VYBE has set short-term goals, including organizing a major annual event in collaboration with other associations or institutions. Additionally, it aims to establish a signature series of monthly networking breakfasts, facilitating connections between Vietnamese businesses and European partners, with embassies acting as intermediaries and co-organizers.
